Up, Up, and... Line?
Whether you are already doing rope suspension, tying your partner to a bedpost, or securing your couch in the back of a truck, this class is for you! Locking off lines has many different uses, and we invite riggers and bottoms of all skill levels to learn how to do it more safely and efficiently in this tie along course. This hands-on class is beginner friendly, HOWEVER, we will be discussing more intermediate subject matter, such as partials and suspension. Please practice within your current skill level and understand this class will not teach partials, suspension, any harnesses, or load distribution.
Skill level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Non-collapsing single column cuff
Please bring: 3-4 hanks of rope, something to take notes, and a backpack, bag, weight, chair, or rope bottom.
Loop There It Is!
In this hands-on intermediate class we will take a deeper look at single column ties, how they function, and more importantly, how they can be improved. We will cover topics such as: misconceptions with knot directionality, ways to tie knots more efficiently, and Hojo cuffs. Transitions in Suspension
When Suolinga and Nira began tying, they found themselves practicing the same sequence over and over again to build skill through repetition. After gaining confidence, they were able to change one variable at a time, learning how to create new experiences from the foundational sequence they had come to know by muscle memory. In this tie-along class, they will show a basic suspension sequence, places to improve your technical skill, and ways to think critically about moving forward from static suspensions.
Skill level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Basic up lines, suspendable back loading upper body harness, suspendable futomomo or similar one leg harness.
Please bring: Suspension kit and something to take notes.
Get Out Quick
In this hands-on intermediate class we will dive into the concept of “exploding bondage” and quick releases. There are many reasons a top might want to tie something that can be removed easily, from high risk play to medical conditions, and in this class you will learn the fundamentals of get-out-quick ties. Students will learn “exploding” versions of classic harnesses, as well as the concepts to create their own.
Skill level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: single column tie and an understanding of frictions
Please bring: 4-5 hanks of rope and something to take notes.

ABS: Anatomy, Body Awareness & Safety
This class is for everyone who puts a body in rope or is a body in rope! Let’s learn about our bodies.
○ Have you ever wondered about human anatomy and how rope impacts your body?

A very important step in creating greater body awareness is an understanding of how the body works, both in and out of rope. This class will discuss anatomy related to rope bondage, body awareness, and safety to improve (and hopefully prolong) our time in rope bondage. Class Purpose: obtain a greater understanding of our bodies so that we may better protect them Anatomy: how can we use anatomy to improve (and prolong) our rope experience(s)
• Body awareness: how can we apply basic anatomy to increase awareness of our body’s movement and protect ourselves in rope bondage
• Safety: how do I keep my body safe before, during and after rope bondage.

Human Hard Points
When your friends ask you to hang out, do you immediately envision binding them with rope and suspending them from one another? Well, have I got the class for you! This course is crafted for tying pairs, switches, and self-tiers alike! I will go over safety considerations and key points for upline management, specifically related to human hardpointism. Unpaired? No prob! We will facilitate grouping up as needed! Might even make a new friend or three. My team and I will be available throughout participant tying time to provide guidance or to give evil suggestions, if desired! No doubt you’ll learn, explore, play, and laugh a lot!

One of my favorite aspects of this play is that by not micromanaging and staying present, we discover beautiful (and often hilarious) places we never knew existed.

Refining the TK
Join us for an in-depth exploration of advanced box tie techniques. Box ties- also known as Takate Kote or Gote Shibari- are one of the most versatile harnesses, but are one of the most challenging to fully understand. This class is designed for those who already have ample experience tying TK’s regularly, and we will focus on refining every inch of its structure to expand your understanding of its capabilities. We will discuss how different body types and mobilities affect placement choices, and how adapting tension and structure can optimize the harness for a specific suspension position. This will be a tie-along class involving your questions being answered on the spot, as well as a demonstration of techniques with time to practice them.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Box Tie, basic understanding of frictions and tension.
Please Bring: 3-4 hanks of rope.
Hogties & Variations
Hogties bring a classic image of strict distressing bondage, but can actually be either comfortable or cruel. BDSLR & Ode to Joy
Breathing is Optional
BDSLR’s favorite type of tie is one that doesn’t require a lot of breathing. After all, you’ve been doing it all day, why not take a short break? In this class, BDSLR will begin by going over the risks and safety concerns of breath play with rope and demo four different choking/breath play-based ties. Participants will have time after each demo to tie for themselves and ask questions.

T is for Trauma
Taught by Joy
Ever wished you knew more to help your partner, or yourself, when you experience one of those fight/flight/freeze moments in a rope scene? Or how best to decompress and reconnect afterwards? This class centers on the neurobiological concepts of the threat/fear/trauma response, how it impacts the body, and what it does to the mind, for both top and bottoms. And it's taught in basic English, no fancy medical jargon necessary! Ode2Joy will use her professional experience as a trauma therapist to provide basic understanding of what to look for before/during/after threatening or traumatic events, how to cope with the symptoms, and ways to seek professional assistance.
Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: None
Please Bring: Something to take notes.
Ethical Negotiating from a Place of Privilege
Taught by BDSLR
Consent and negotiation are touched on in many other classes, and we often then say, "That could be a whole class on its own.” This is that class! Whether you have power, privilege, a desired skill set, your own play space, or host small gatherings, there are important concepts to consider not only in how you negotiate but also how you ask and receive requests to kink with someone. Join BDSLR as they talk about things to consider when negotiating, recognizing what privileges you may not realize you bring to your scenes, and how these concerns and methods to mitigate them (when possible) have changed over the past few years.
Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: None
Please Bring: Something to take notes.
Choose Joy’s Bottoming Adventure!
Active Bottoming In Action
In this class, similar to a “choose your own adventure” story, bottoms will help choose each next rope for Joy throughout a multiple transition suspension. Joy will actively process through the transitions out loud, explaining how she maintains body awareness and processes pain in each step. Much of rope bottoming can be made easier and more sustainable by learning one’s body and how it works in rope; the skills and efforts Joy shows here can be replicated in rope bottom labs at home!
Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: None
Please Bring: A sense of adventure, something to take notes.
The Kneeling Harness
Fed up with futomomos? Worried about waist rope? Hate hip harnesses? In this hands-on class, BDSLR will demonstrate their minimal kneeling harness, and explain safety concerns, various ways to attach uplines, and why going beyond more common structured ties can open up all sorts of possibilities. The class will conclude with an inversion transition sequence that shows off the kneeling harness's versatility.
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced
Prerequisites: Suspension experience, knowledge of up lines and harness construction.
Please Bring: Suspension kit, blanket or mat, something to take notes.

Jett & Tobias
Support & Embrace: A Modified Space
Jett and Tobias will present to rope tops, bottoms, and switches from the perspective of lived experience and dedication to modifications. Then, they will demonstrate what they discussed during a demo scene before prompting the folks to use creative problem solving to modify for a particular need. Attendees can expect to learn how to negotiate multiple important aspects of rope scenes where the top, bottom, or both are disabled, chronically ill, or experience chronic pain. Whether you could use this information now, may need it in the future, or want to take this info and apply it to creative tying, this class has something for everyone. There is no doubt you will leave this class with the unwaivering knowledge that access is just as important as aftercare.
